The 2020 season has come to an end for Bengals running back Joe Mixon.
On Monday, head coach Zac Taylor announced that Mixon will not be activated from injured reserve for the team’s Week 17 clash with the Ravens. That means Mixon has seen his last snap this season after injuring his foot in Week 6 vs. the Colts.
Mixon was placed on injured reserve in Week 11, so he’s been eligible to get an IR-return designation for several weeks now. The team has been mum on his recovery, so it’s unclear if he’s not healthy enough to play, or if they’re simply playing it safe and not risking further injury heading into the offseason.
