The Dalton Foundation has received about 900 donations totaling more than $25,000 in just one day since former quarterback Andy Dalton was released from the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dalton, who was drafted by the Bengals in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and his wife, JJ, started the foundation that same year.

"We know that we had tremendous impact, and so we didn't take that lightly and always wanted to help as many people as we could," JJ Dalton told The Enquirer Friday afternoon.
