How Cincinnati Bengals rookie linebackers prepared to contribute in 2020

Since the Cincinnati Bengals last made the NFL playoffs in 2015, the franchise has rotated through linebackers almost every season.

In 2016, the Bengals brought in veterans Karlos Dansby and P.J. Dawson. In 2017, the Bengals added Kevin Minter and moved former third-round pick Nick Vigil up the depth chart. Over the next two years, the Bengals have used veterans like Vincent Rey and Preston Brown.

Heading into 2020, Cincinnati added more youth at linebacker than it has had over the last five years. In addition to signing veteran linebacker Josh Bynes, Cincinnati added four rookie linebackers –– Logan Wilson, Akeem Davis-Gaither, Markus Bailey and Marcel Spears Jr.
