Here’s how much money the Bengals will save by cutting Germaine Pratt

The Cincinnati Bengals waived veteran linebacker Germaine Pratt on Monday, a move that had been months in the making.

With Pratt officially on the way out, the team is saving $5,850,000 and leaving $2,333,334 in dead cap space, per Over The Cap.

Pratt requested a trade not long after the Bengals parted ways with former defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who has since been hired for the same role by the Colts. When the Bengals selected linebackers Demetrius Knight in the second and Barrett Carter in the fourth in April, it officially slammed the door shut on any possible reconciliation.
