Grant Haley, former New York Giants defensive back, works out for Bengals, per reports

Defensive back Grant Haley, released by the New York Giants on Saturday after spending his first two NFL seasons with the team, worked out Tuesday for the Cincinnati Bengals, according to multiple reports.

The 5-foot-9 Haley, 24, was an undrafted free agent from Penn State. He started nine games and appeared in 10 for the Giants in 2018, and he played in 15 games for the team last season, starting three of them.

Haley played for Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo in 2018, when Anarumo was the Giants' defensive backs coach.

The Enquirer's Tyler Dragon reported earlier this week that the Bengals placed cornerback Trae Waynes - expected to miss at least two months - on injured reserve.
