Dolphins snag Samaje Perine from Bengals practice squad

With just a week remaining in the regular season, the Cincinnati Bengals have lost one of their practice squad players.

On Monday, running back Samaje Perine was signed by the Miami Dolphins off the Bengals’ practice squad, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The move was made because running back Myles Gaskin was injured during Sunday’s 38-35 overtime win over the Bengals.

In the NFL, Perine hasn’t made much impact as a 2017 fourth-round pick of Washington. Overall, he’s averaged 3.5 yards per carry on 183 career rushes while catching 25 of 28 targets for 187 yards and scored two twice in 27 career games.
