It’s disgusting when a team you’ve spent a long lifetime loving makes you despise it and cheer its ineptitude. Knowing that Baseball allows the Pittsburgh Pirates to happen makes it that much worse.
Props to the Reds, of course. They set all kinds of team batting records the first week of this season. When you’re clobbering the ball at a better clip than The Machinists, you’re doing something. Good on ya, Tyler Naquin and Nick Castellanos and so on.

And maybe time will reveal that the Reds really are that good, and the Pirates aren’t as bad as they showed the previous three games.
