Doc's Morning Line: You can't legislate perfection, though the NFL tries.

I like the NFL’s perpetual quest for perfection. I like that pro football never stops seeking ways to make its product better and unlike MLB, is not afraid to change.

On the other hand, sometimes things are better left alone.

What is taunting?

We know what holding is. Anyone can see blatant pass interference. Taunting?

Sometimes, it’s obvious. Any D-lineman who stands over a QB after scrambling the QB’s brains better expect a flag. But what if a running back rips off a nice run then, while flipping the ball to the ref has a few words for a tackler?
