Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman, Devon Still, has been by his daughter’s side ever since finding out that Leah had pediatric cancer. The whole NFL nation has been inspired by Leah’s fight and determination to beat cancer. This weekend it was announced that she had some complications with a stem cell transplant. Now, according to USA Today’s Nina Mandell, Devon and Leah will be honored with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at this year’s ESPY Awards.
The Still family found out about Leah’s cancer almost one year ago and since then she has been in and out of Philadelphia’s Children’s Hospital for treatment and surgery.
