Trying to find some optimism following another lousy start to the regular season? Look no further than Joe Burrow. The Cincinnati Bengals' rookie quarterback is a leading candidate for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year through seven weeks.
“Awesome,” Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor said of Burrow’s Week 7 performance. “Awesome.”
The rookie quarterback was superb in Week 7 despite the loss. Burrow threw for a career-high 406 yards, tossed three touchdowns, ran for another and had one interception, resulting in a season-best 112.5 passer rating. Burrow became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to throw for 400-plus passing yards, throw three touchdown passes and score a rushing touchdown in a single game.
