The Ohio Department of Health is allowing the Cleveland Browns to increase the number of fans allowed at games at FirstEnergy Stadium from 6,000 to 12,000, and Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has approved the team's request, according to multiple reports from Cleveland media outlets.
The stadium's capacity is 67,895.
The state of Ohio previously approved a variance to allow 6,000 spectators for Browns and Bengals home games. The Bengals are expected to have up to 6,000 in attendance for their next home game - Oct. 25 against the Browns - unless a similar increase is requested and approved.
