Cincinnati Bengals waive Taft High School/Ohio State product Adolphus Washington

Adolphus Washington's return home to play for the Cincinnati Bengals lasted just four games.

The team waived the former Taft High School and Ohio State standout Tuesday.

Washington totaled six tackles and a sack in 2018 after the Bengals signed him from the Dallas Cowboys practice squad in September. A knee injury ended his season in November.

Washington, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive tackle, was a third-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2016. The Bills released Washington last season after he had a total of 56 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 31 career games.
