Another Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman could be leaving football.
The Bengals placed guard Christian Westerman on the exempt/left squad list on Friday.
On Thursday, Bengals broadcaster Dave Lapham said that Westerman was contemplating retirement.
Friday's news is confirmation that Westerman is indeed mulling over his football future.
The exempt/left squad list does give Westerman the right to comeback to the Bengals. Cincinnati still owns his rights. He's on the final year of his contract.
If Westerman does choose to walk away from football, he would become the third Bengals O-lineman to retire leading up to the 2019 regular season.
