Joe Mixon wasn’t at the start of Tuesday’s practice – and the running back had a valid reason.
The Cincinnati Bengals and Mixon were putting the finishing touches on a four-year contract extension, a source confirmed to The Enquirer. Mixon even posted a picture on social media while his teammates were taking the practice field. Nobody minded his tardiness once he arrived at practice with a smile on his face.
Mixon had been battling migraines last week. His headaches appear to have subsided.
NFL Network reported Mixon’s new deal is worth four years and $48 million.
