During an appearance Thursday morning on NFL Network's Good Morning Football, former National Football League running back Chris Johnson suggested that Cincinnati Bengals receiver John Ross only broke his nine-year-old record for the fastest time in the 40-yard dash at the 2017 NFL Combine because the league wanted him to, and added that Johnson was significantly heavier than Ross and others when he set the record at the 2008 event.
At the time, Johnson congratulated Ross via Twitter on his official 4.22 run.
But on Thursday, Johnson said on GMFB that he doesn't think Ross broke his record, and that the fastest player in the NFL would be second to him:
