Bengals WR A.J. Green visits foot specialist, source says

Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green visited noted foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay on Monday, a source told ESPN.com's Adam Schefter.

Green, a seven-time Pro Bowl receiver, has not played in a game all season. He tore multiple ligaments in his left ankle during the Bengals' first practice of the preseason and underwent surgery in late July.

The Bengals have kept Green on the active 53-man roster in case of a potential return this season. On Monday, Bengals coach Zac Taylor gave the standard weekly statement regarding Green's availability.

"We'll discuss what the plan will be for him, starting with Wednesday," Taylor said.
