Bengals RB Trayveon Williams suffers rib injury vs. Chiefs

During the team’s preseason clash with the Chiefs, running back Trayveon Williams suffered a bruised rib. During the broadcast in the fourth quarter, sideline reporter Marisa Contipelli announced that Williams was out with the injury, though it appeared to happen much earlier.

On the final play of the first half, Jeff Driskel attempted a hail mary pass that was intercepted, but Williams helped make the tackle to prevent a pick-six.

Unfortunately, Williams was seen grimacing in pain after the play, so it’s probably when he suffered the injury in question.

Williams got off to a fast start in his NFL debut with a rushing score on the Bengals’ opening drive, but he wasn’t used much after that, as Jordan Ellis and Quinton Flowers got most of the touches after that drive.
