Tyler Eifert only played one snap last week, but the tight end’s sparse game action was a meaningful moment for him.

“It felt great. Just being out with the guys again, it’s been a long time for me,” Eifert said. “Just being out there and feeling healthy, strong and fast and just feeling like myself is exciting.”

The seventh-year tight end has been plagued by injuries his entire career. A torn ligament in his elbow ended his 2014 season after just one game, an ankle injury in the 2015 Pro Bowl caused him to miss multiple games the following season, then his 2016 came to a close after a back injury that required surgery.
