After losing Cordy Glenn earlier in the game to a shoulder injury, guard Christian Westerman was forced from the game in the third quarter. After taking a knee following a player, he went to the sideline and was later seen heading to the locker room to be examined by trainers for what was announced as a back injury, as the team also ruled him out.
The injury actually forced starter Clint Boling to re-enter the game late in the third quarter after it appeared his day was done.
Not long after Westerman’s injury, the team announced backup running back Jarveon Williams was out with a knee injury.
