Andrew Whitworth's recovery from knee injury 'way ahead of schedule,' per report

Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth, who played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2006 to 2016, was expected to miss six to eight weeks when he injured his MCL and PCL in mid-November.

But Jay Glazer reported via Twitter on Thursday that Whitworth, 38, is "way ahead of schedule" and expected to test out his knee on the field next week.

Whitworth, the Rams' nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, got support from his teammates as well as members of the opposing Seattle Seahawks as he was carted off the field with the injury - a huge show of respect for the four-time Pro Bowler.
