Bengals CB Adam Jones Issues Apology To Steelers WR Antonio Brown

After a testy, chippy wild card matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers, Bengals cornerback Adam Jones accused Steelers wideout Antonio Brown of faking a concussion after he was hit by linebacker Vontaze Burfict late in the fourth quarter.

Brown appeared to be knocked unconscious by the hit, but Jones stuck by his opinion, saying he would only apologize if Brown wasn't able to play in Pittsburgh's game against the Denver Broncos this weekend.

Well, Brown was ruled out with that concussion earlier today, and Jones took to Instagram to issue the apology:

@antoniobrown84 I truly apologize !!!!!! That's my word !!!

“AB – My apology, my brother,” Jones said. “I’m a man of my word. I’ve been doing a little traveling so that’s why it took so long. But I apologize, sincerely. Get well.”

Jones was fined $28,940 for contacting an official after the play. Both Burfict's hit and Jones' contact with the official were flagged, setting up Pittsburgh's game-winning field goal.
