University of Cincinnati Bearcats football coach Luke Fickell is one of 10 candidates to fill the University of Louisville's head coaching vacancy after Purdue University coach and Louisville native Jeff Brohm turned down the opportunity to join the Cardinals, according to Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel.

Coming off a 10-win season, it’d be interesting to see if he gets in the mix. Fickell is a lifelong Ohio guy and projects more as a Big Ten coach. His defensive background and discipline would be a drastic shift from the Petrino era.
