Will Eddie Gran Stand In Mike Boone’s Way This Fall?

Cincinnati Bearcats running back Mike Boone had an unforgettable first season in red and black. The converted wide receiver exploded onto the scene by rushing for 212 yards against South Florida, the most by a UC player out of the backfield since Isaiah Pead sliced and diced Rutgers’ defense to bits in 2010. Boone finished the season leading the Bearcats in rushing yards (650), touchdowns (9), and yards per carry (6.4).

Even more remarkably, he did all of that while playing in three-quarters of the games as everyone else not starting in a single one.

That can’t happen this Fall.
