Yeah, but...
Three weeks ago, Cincinnati football had control of the AAC East.
Yeah, but the Bearcats couldn't put Tulsa away.
Last week, Cincinnati moved into place as the highest-ranked Group of Five team in the country.
Yeah, but the Bearcats nearly lost at ECU.
There were valid reasons for doubt, but "yeah, but," is much better than, "what if," and on Saturday against UConn, Cincinnati avoided both of those lines of talk.
Let's not rush to pin a ribbon here because victories against the Huskies literally run in the dozens.
