Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell applauded quarterback Desmond Ridder's maturity following the Bearcats' season-opening win last week over Austin Peay.
Ridder's maturity showed again Saturday, as the junior quarterback battled back from a shaky first half to help lead No. 14 (AP)/16 (Coaches) UC to a 24-10 win over No. 22 Army in the first matchup of ranked teams at Nippert Stadium since 2008.

If Cincinnati (2-0) is going to have a special season this year, it can't be in spite of Ridder.
