Earlier this month, we learned that UC Bearcats women’s basketball great Antoinette Miller would be playing professionally in Sweden this fall. She will be a member of my new favorite Swedish professional basketball team, the Wetterbygden Sparks.
Yesterday, UC athletics announced that Angel Rizor, the AAC’s Most Improved Women’s Basketball Player for 2019-2020, will also be pursuing a professional basketball career overseas.
Rizor, a 6’0 forward, will be bringing her game to Turkey, where she will become a member of the Cesme Basketbol Kulubu.
Bearcats fans now have rooting interests in the Turkish and Swedish women’s professional basketball leagues.
