Now that’s a win even Mick Cronin can’t complain about.
Cincinnati (24-3, 12-1 American) defeated Tulsa (12-14, 6-8 American) 80-60 on Saturday afternoon to secure Mick Cronin’s 300th career win. All five starters scored in double figures, led by Kyle Washington’s 18 points on 7 of 9 shooting.
After needing a dramatic come-from-behind victory to beat Tulsa two weeks ago, the Bearcats controlled this one from the start. Jacob Evans made three three-pointers in the first nine minutes, to give Cincinnati an 18-15 lead. It appeared the Bearcats were ready to pull away when they increased the lead to 29-20, but Tulsa found a way to stick around.
