University of Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin is joining several other notable basketball names for a "Coaches Beat Cancer" charity event.
People are invited to bid on a variety of packages online, including a private dinner with basketball VIPs, a night stay at MotorCity Casino Hotel (Detroit) on June 4 and a day of golf June 5 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield, Michigan. Winning bidders and two of their guests will get to select one of the following basketball celebrities to play alongside: Cronin, Tennessee coach Rick Barnes, ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla, Butler coach Chris Holtmann, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, Oakland University coach Greg Kampe, Fox Sports/Pac-12 Network analyst Steve Lavin, South Carolina coach Frank Martin, CBS Sports analyst Bill Raftery, Detroit Pistons president/coach Stan Van Gundy or Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard.
