UC takeaways: Fickell insists on progress in 33-3 USF loss

TAMPA – Another game, another loss and more cause to look in the mirror for the University of Cincinnati football program.

The Bearcats' latest setback was arguably its most telling of the season as they fell to the University of South Florida Bulls, 33-3, Saturday at Raymond James Stadium.

Nationally-ranked USF stimied UC's offense, holding it to 273 yards and one score.

The Bearcats defense played a perfectly reasonable game and frustrated USF's multi-pronged offensive attack in a manner few other Bulls opponents have in 2017.
