If there’s one team that’s had worse injury luck at quarterback this season than the Cincinnati Bearcats, it BYU. Now, UC’s long history of never seeing their starting QB in week one finish the season unscathed certainly wins them the pity party award. But, the Cougars certainly have the Bearcats’ number in that department this season.
Oft banged up but utterly unstoppable when he’s not senior signal caller Taysom Hill was lost for the season during BYU’s game against Nebraska in game one. Freshman quarterback/mortified punter Tanner Mangum stepped in and led the Cougars to a thrilling hail mary victory over the Cornhuskers.
