HARTFORD – In a rematch of an overtime game last month the University of Cincinnati pulled out another squeaker over Connecticut, winning 64-60 at the XL Center after blowing a 15-point second half lead.
Down 50-35, UConn came back on a 16-0 run to take a 51-50 lead. From there, it became a possession-by-possession game with the Bearcats toughing out another American Athletic Conference win on the road in front of 11,904 fans. Cane Broome made a pair of clutch 3-pointers in the final minutes to keep the Bearcats in front and Keith Williams sank a pair of pressure free throws with :04.
