California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill Monday which will allow college student-athletes to be paid for the use of their name, likeness and image beginning Jan. 1, 2023.
A similar bill was filed this week in Florida that, if passed, would go into effect July 1, 2020.
With changes to the college athletics landscape happening sooner than later, Cincinnati football coach Luke Fickell said there would be a time and place to discuss the issues with UC athletics director Mike Bohn.
