GREENVILLE, North Carolina – Luke Fickell said University of Cincinnati athletics director Mike Bohn's imminent departure wasn't a distraction for him in preparation for Saturday's 46-43 win at East Carolina.
Somehow, the Bearcats' football coach said he remained focused despite news of Bohn, the man who hired Fickell in 2017, leaving for Southern Cal breaking on Friday.
"You have six kids, you should try it at home," Fickell said. "You get used to it. Just, I dunno. You find a way.
