TAMPA – Mick Cronin entered Wednesday night’s University of Cincinnati basketball game here at South Florida with 298 career coaching wins, including his tenures at Murray State and UC.
Cronin began the night with a 298-156 record as a college head coach, including 229-132 in his 11th year at UC. Before that, Cronin was 69-24 in three years at Murray State.
Cronin’s resume includes two NCAA Tournament appearances at Murray State and six with UC. This year, the No. 18-ranked Bearcats (22-3, 11-2 American Athletic Conference entering the night) are driving toward their seventh consecutive NCAA appearance.
