Kyriq McDonald and Darrian Beavers can take the field for the Cincinnati Bearcats this season.
The NCAA granted the transfer defenders a waiver for immediate eligibility, a source with information about the decision said Thursday.
The NCAA previously ruled Michigan transfer offensive lineman James Hudson was not eligible for the waiver. An appeal for Hudson to play this season was denied last week. UC is stilling waiting on a similar decision regarding Ohio State transfer wideout Blue Smith.
McDonald, a redshirt sophomore safety previously at Alabama, and Beavers, a junior linebacker previously at UConn, are expected to be contributors for the Bearcats this season.
