UC Bearcats get commitment from JUCO guard Rashawn Fredericks

Mick Cronin and the UC Bearcats got a commitment Saturday from Rashawn Fredericks, a first-team National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American shooting guard who averaged double figures in points and rebounds as a sophomore and announced it via Twitter after visiting Arkansas earlier in the weekend.

Fredericks visited UC last weekend. He averaged 17.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1 assist per game during his second season at Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma, Tenn., after averaging 13.1 points and 10 rebounds per game as a freshman.

The 6-foot-6 Fredericks will have two years of eligibility for the Bearcats, starting with the 2018-19 season.
