The sixth-ranked (both Associated Press and Coaches polls) University of Cincinnati football team (5-0, 3-0 American Athletic Conference, or AAC) strung together its most complete performance of the season last week, and it was rewarded for it.
Quarterback Desmond Ridder was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week, while defensive end Myjai Sanders was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
The two juniors received the honors for their respective efforts in the Bearcats' 49-10 home win over Memphis last Saturday in a rematch of last season's AAC championship game.
