With plenty of on-court options to choose, star Jarron Cumberland instead revealed an intimate detail when asked Thursday for his favorite Cincinnati basketball memory.
"Having Coach (John) Brannen in his first year, just after winning a game, seeing his dad always afterward, walking off the floor being able to shake his hand and everything. That was a really good memory."
Brannen's father, also named John Brannen, died last week.
Cumberland could have cited his 33-point performance last season in the American Athletic Conference Tournament championship win against Houston.
