UC: 5 takeaways from comeback win at Tulsa

Troy Caupain rated Wednesday’s 57-55 comeback win at Tulsa among the best of the University of Cincinnati basketball season, and Caupain was largely responsible for the victory.

The senior point guard hit a game-clinching 16-foot jumper with 4.4 seconds left, leading a UC rally from 11 points down. The casual fan may have been deceived by Tulsa’s 12-8 overall record entering the game, but the Golden Hurricane stood third in the American Athletic Conference with a 6-2 league record.

“I rank this one high because it was on the road,” Caupain said. “Coming into Tulsa was tough, because they were 6-2 in the conference.
