Texas, Oklahoma appear to be on their way out of the Big 12. What does that mean for UC?

With the likelihood of Texas and Oklahoma ditching the Big 12 Conference and joining the Southeastern Conference seemingly increasing by the second, another seismic shift in the conference landscape seems inevitable.

Texas and Oklahoma officially notified the Big 12 on Monday that they will not be renewing their grants of media rights following expiration in 2025, according to a release by Texas.

The announcement comes amid speculation that the two schools intend to leave the Big 12 for the SEC.

If Texas and Oklahoma leave the Big 12, that will send the conference and its remaining eight members into self-preservation mode.
