PHILADELPHIA - Numbers and metrics don't always tell the full story, but the truth for the University of Cincinnati and Temple Sunday was both teams could have used the win. The Owls are the only team that has defeated Houston (the only ranked team of last week in the American Athletic Conference. Adding a win over Cincinnati would have been a feather in Temple coach Fran Dunphy's cap.
Instead, UC turned the numbers their way by defying the odds and coming back from a halftime deficit of 10 to eventually win 72-68.
