Takeaways from UC's road conquest of Wichita State

WICHITA, Kan. - For the second time this season, the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team went to the free throw line 35 times. It happened in the Emerald Coast Classic against Ole Miss and it happened Saturday at Wichita State against the Shockers in a 66-55 victory.

In both cases, UC made 25 of 35 and secured a win. Against Ole Miss, it came on a neutral court in Niceville, Florida. To get 35 free throws on the road against a conference opponent is a bonus. UC was 7-for-12 in the first half, then 18-for-23 in the second half when they pulled away just after Wichita State had taken a brief 46-45 lead.
