A special guest will join University of Cincinnati Bearcat basketball players from yesteryear at the "Grand Opening" of renovated Fifth Third Arena. The UC/UCLA game was designated for the festivities, though the arena officially opened for business in the first week of November.
With his team idle until Saturday, West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins will return to the floor and building that he opened in 1989 with an upset win over Minnesota on a corner three from part-time football player Steve Sanders. The families of Ed Jucker (national championship coach 1961-62) and George Smith will also be on hand.
