Jacob Evans became the Cincinnati Bearcats' first player selected in the NBA Draft since 2010 when the Golden State Warriors took him in the first round - 28th overall.
UC hadn't had a first-round NBA Draft pick since Jason Maxiell was selected 26th by the Detroit Pistons in 2005.

Neither of the two former Bearcats currently playing in the NBA - the Indiana Pacers' Lance Stephenson and the Chicago Bulls' Sean Kilpatrick - were first-round picks. Stephenson was a second-round pick (40th overall) of the Pacers in 2010, and Kilpatrick was undrafted.
