The floor and surroundings may look different at Fifth Third Arena, but it's pretty much the same general area where University of Memphis coach Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway battled Nick Van Exel and the University of Cincinnati Bearcats a quarter century ago (yes, that hurt writing).
Now, Van Exel is an assistant coach with the NBA Memphis Grizzlies and a golf partner of Hardaway. Penny, the Memphis Tigers coach, now comes to Cincinnati looking to do what he couldn't as a player, beat the Bearcats on their home floor.
