FREEPORT, Bahamas -- Baylor used its size advantage to overpower Cincinnati.
Kalani Brown scored 13 points and the No. 5 Lady Bears played stifling defense to rout the Bearcats 72-34 in the opening game of the Junkanoo Jam on Thursday.
"We're big and y'all know that," Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said. "We had a shortage on the perimeter right now because of injuries."
Nina Davis added 10 points while Kristina Higgins had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Bears (5-0), who outrebounded Cincinnati 51-35 and held the Bearcats to just 15 percent shooting (9 for 59).
