NASHVILLE – Futbol Club Cincinnati remains a contender for the second Major League Soccer expansion team to be admitted in the current round of expansion, with Commissioner Don Garber providing comments that offered Cincinnati fans hope.
In the wake of the Wednesday announcement at the Country Music Hall of Fame that Nashville would be the first expansion entrant for either 2019 or 2020, Garber said:
- “FC Cincinnati had an unbelievable pitch. They did a wonderful job. We’ve got great respect for Carl Lindner and his family and Scott Farmer, his partner. We’re totally intrigued and impressed with what’s been going on with FC Cincinnati.
