Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh sounds off on depression, NCAA transfer process, eligibility

Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh sounded off Friday during a radio interview with ESPNU about whether college athletes should be allowed to gain immediate eligibility because of mental-health or depression-related conditions.

In May, the Cincinnati Bearcats announced that they would appeal an NCAA decision to deny offensive tackle James Hudson immediate eligibility. Hudson, who played for Harbaugh at Michigan, announced last December that he was headed to UC.
