The No. 7 seed University of Cincinnati Bearcats basketball will rest slightly this week before tangling with No. 10 seed Iowa at 12:15 p.m. EST Friday at Nationwide Arena. Despite a 69-57 triumph over No. 11 Houston Sunday in the American Athletic Conference championship Sunday, the Bearcats were dealt a No. 7 seed with several NCAA pundits disagreeing over their placement.

It's UC's ninth-straight NCAA tournament appearance. Only five other schools have done such and the names are lofty: Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Michigan State and North Carolina.
