Cincinnati is scheduled to begin American Athletic Conference play Saturday against South Florida at Nippert Stadium. But USF is coming off a week where it had to postpone its scheduled game at Florida Atlantic because of concerns about possible coronavirus spread among its players following a COVID-19 outbreak at its previous opponent, Notre Dame.
Despite that, Bearcats coach Luke Fickell said Tuesday he is confident Saturday's matchup will take place as scheduled.
"I don't have any concerns," he said. "That's out of my control, so that's the last thing I would spend a whole lot of time thinking about or worrying about.
